The Belconnen Community Gallery is at the heart of the Belconnen Community Centre. The gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of local artists, CRCS program participants, and community groups.
CRCS has developed several community-driven exhibition series that provide supported opportunities for local artists to exhibit their work in the Belconnen Community Gallery.
The Springboard Series exhibits works by emerging artists as part of the ANU School of Art Emerging Artist Support Scheme. The RESPECT series runs from Reconciliation Week in May until NAIDOC week in July. This series showcases the art of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists as part of CRCS’s commitment to reconciliation. Piece of Mind is a series of exhibitions by people who use their art as a tool to achieve peace of mind. The series runs from Mental Health Week in October until International Day of People With Disability in December.
These, and the other dynamic exhibitions hosted by the Belconnen Community Gallery each year, demonstrate and celebrate the diverse artistic talents of our community.
Situated in the Belconnen Community Centre, the Belconnen Community Gallery is an affordable alternative to commercial galleries focused on providing a balance of amateur, professional, and community-based exhibitions. The Belconnen Community Gallery is dedicated to presenting work by local and emerging artists and arts groups.
