Capital Region Community Services’s INVOLVE project for over-65-year-old’s has returned following changes to COVID-19 restrictions, and with new and improved programs!
INVOLVE offers a range of programs that promote innovative ways to build social connections within the community for seniors.
Seniors keen to participate need to be registered with ‘My Aged Care’ and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and not receive package care or nursing home care.
INVOLVE is built on the success of ongoing CRCS initiatives and the Silver Threads and Golden Needles project in 2015. The activities will offer opportunities to socialise through shared interests and learning opportunities to develop wellbeing in a range of ways.
INVOLVE project participants will be encouraged throughout the different programs to develop relationships and build skills along the way that can assist with ongoing social wellbeing after the project ends.
INVOLVE programs have a wellbeing, creative and social focus and include building skills and knowledge around health & fitness, movie reviewing, IT skills, intergenerational storytelling, the creative arts, and opportunities to travel both through multi-day retreats and using state-of-the-art virtual reality technology.
When it comes to our INVOLVE project, there is something for everyone.
Note: The health and wellbeing of our participants and employees is of paramount importance to us. We have taken every precaution and are implementing strict hygiene measures in accordance with government regulation to ensure our programs can continue. If you have any questions or would like to suggest alternative methods of participating in our INVOLVE programs, please feel free to contact us on 6264 0200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be happy to talk you through any issues and seek alternative arrangements where possible, to accommodate you.
