The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative to provide a person-centered support system that gives people with disability choice and control over the services and supports they need.
The NDIS focuses on removing many barriers that are faced by people living with disability and their families and carers. CRCS provides certain NDIS supports as a registered provider to all agency (portal), plan and self-managed participants; and other supports as an unregistered provider to plan and self-managed participants only in compliance with NDIA rules. CRCS actively advocates and works to support positive inclusion for all people in our community.
CRCS is committed to providing the highest quality of service and flexibility to meet individual needs. As an NDIS service provider, CRCS works with people to achieve their goals by:
CRCS is registered to provide Support Coordination supports and therefore are able to assist people to have the right supports and services in place. Our experienced coordination staff turn NDIS plans into action. CRCS can coordinate supports and services from multiple providers to ensure that each individual has the most appropriate suite of supports.
CRCS is registered to provide certain capacity-building supports to help people set and achieve specific goals. The type of support provided can vary greatly from one person to the next. For example developing your decision making, planning and budgeting skills.
CRCS can assist Plan and Self-managed participants with general transport through our Transport team.
Arrangements for services CRCS offers as a registered provider are captured in a Service Agreement. Service Agreements with CRCS are a key source of information as they provide information about your agreed supports; responsibilities of CRCS, you and your Delegate; payment arrangements including GST; cancellations; privacy; changes to your Service Agreement; and how to provide feedback and raise concerns.
Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP)
The NDIA replaced the Temporary Support for Overheads with a Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) in the NDIS Price Guide (Price Guide). As a result of this change, providers can charge a higher support price limit for certain supports providing they meet the TTP requirements set out by the NDIA in the NDIS Price Guide. Capital Region Community Services meets these requirements and therefore applies the TTP charge rates, per the current NDIS Support Catalogue, to certain support categories. This is clearly indicated in our Service Agreement with you by the inclusion of the letter “T” after the support item number. You can read more about the support items and the TTP price list in the NDIS Price Guide and NDIS Support Catalogue.
