The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provides support to individuals over 65 years of age still living at home. This is a re-ablement program to support people to remain in their home longer.
BCS understands that asking for help does not mean you are losing your independence or moving out of your home. We are here to help you help yourself.
Eligible circumstances include:
Services are for ACT residents over the age of 65 (or over age 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and can be accessed via an Aged Care Package or funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). They can also be accessed as a fee for use service, where the user pays as they go.
Supports offered include:
9am – 5pm some services may take place outside these hours by prior arrangement
A participant co-contribution is generally required for in home support. People experiencing financial hardship can discuss other arrangements with program coordinator
