The Community Assistance & Support Program (CASP) aims to enhance your health and wellbeing, and facilitate your independence and participation in the community.

Eligible circumstances include:

  • Temporary or episodic conditions, including mental health
  • Post hospital care and support
  • A disability that is not ‘significant and permanent’, as is required for NDIS eligibility
  • Services are for individuals under the age of 65 (or under age 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people).

Supports offered include:

  • Domestic Assistance (help with housework)
  • Social Supports (help to get out and about including shopping assistance)
  • Garden Maintenance (minor repairs)
  • Social Groups to meet new people and get connected
  • Medical Transport
  • Care Coordination.

This assistance is available for 12 weeks during recovery.  Support may be able to continue beyond 12 weeks in exceptional circumstances.

    9am – 5pm some services may take place outside these hours by prior arrangement

  • Cost

    $15 per hour co contribution required ($20 per hour for gardening). People experiencing financial hardship can discuss other arrangements with program coordinator
